A little easier this time ...
Remember how hard it was for my son Jace when Mark went out of town a couple of weeks ago? Jace, 6, cried for two hours when we told him Daddy was leaving for five days.
Mark's going away again tomorrow, and, just like last time, I completely forgot to tell the kids.
So this morning we called Jace into the living room and broke the news.
I braced myself, thinking it was going to be another horrible scene.
Instead, Jace just shrugged his shoulders and said "OK."
Then he ran off to play, as if all was right and wonderful and perfect with the world.
And you know what? Today, it is.

SOunds like everyone is getting into a routine of some sort. I am trying to make the Kiddos understand that we are only going to be seeing Hubby only on weekends for a few weeks. The big ones are not liking that idea to well.

Thanks, Reasa and RP!
Reasa - Sometimes I think it's harder when they come and go frequently, vs. just being gone altogether.

I agree with you there. I am not looking forward to the time Hubby will be travelling back and forth. I am talking with my aunt about leaving all of the kiddos with her for a few weeks this summer. Maybe it won't be so bad then.
