Ex-Buc King to announce upcoming Storm game
An ESPN representative has confirmed that former Buccaneers quarterback Shaun King, who also was a star at Gibbs High, will be part of an ESPN announcing crew that broadcasts the Storm's May 5 home game against Chicago. King spent five NFL seasons with the Bucs. In 2000, he started all 16 games and passed for 2,769 yards. King also had a brief stint with the AFL’s Las Vegas Gladiators in 2007.

Unless we are talking about a different Shaun King, I can assure you that he never completed 75 percent of his passes. That would have been an NFL record, and Shaun King has no NFL records.

You may have a point ... I got those stats right off a release. As soon as I have time, I'll go check them out ...

Shaun King passed for 4,064 yards and 26 touchdowns as he completed 368-of-654 passes (56.3%) and 20 picks. He ranks 7th all-time in yards and 8th in TDs.

Haha yeah it was a 54.4% completion rate that year, but he did break a record for passing efficiency in college.

Yep, you're right .... NFL.com says 54.4 percent of his passes ... I'm fixing it now. Thanks for the heads up.

King is not a bad commentator when he does NFL Live. Anyone watching that broadcast can't judge him too harshly on his first attempt though. Give the guy some time.
