Storm-Soul recap

A few notes from Saturday's game courtesy of the Storm media relations department (this group is making my job easy!) ...

-The loss of receiver/kick returner Sedrick Robinson, who was placed on IR last week with a bum ankle, was significant. The Storm averaged only 7.6 yards a return. With Robinson, that number was 18.0.

-Receiver David Saunders, activated from the IR last week, scored a touchdown on his first reception.

-Soul receiver Chris Jackson (who used to play for Georgia) surpassed 12,000 career receiving yards. He ranks fourth all time in the AFL.

-Mr. Storm, Lawrence Samuels, caught his 850th pass with the team.

-Storm QB Brett Dietz set career highs in passing yardage (400), completions (31) and attempts (46).

-Storm lineman Marcus Owen blocked the ninth kick of his career. He's now in a tie for fourth all time in the AFL.

-Defensive lineman Tim McGill recorded the third two-sack game of his career.

-Kicker Seth Marler booted his 20th career field goal.
