The deal with Montgomery

More on DB Delmonico Montgomery ...

As I've stated a few times on the blog, Montgomery was brought in Tuesday in hopes of signing him and getting him on the field Saturday. In fact, that day, Storm coach Tim Marcum said he could start at strongside cornerback against Orlando. A day later, though, I was told Montgomery would not be signing with the Storm after all.

So, what happened?

Actually, it's pretty simple.

"He left," Marcum said. "He got a better offer from New York. He signed with them."

Mystery solved.
