Marathon 'SuperBuild' housing effort kicks off
TAMPA - Nearly 90 volunteers have descended on East Tampa this morning for SuperBuild, a week-long effort between the NFL and Habitat for Humanity to construct six homes in one week.
A seventh - the Champion's House - will be constructed on Super Bowl Sunday and go to a Habitat affiliate in the state of the winning team.
Six recipients - four from Hillsborough and two from Pinellas - will get keys to their new homes next Saturday.
One of them will be Nikisha Felton, a 30-year-old single mother to two boys.
"I don't really have a lot of memories of being in a home," the Temple Terrace resident said. "When it's your own, you can do whatever you want to it. It's who you are when you walk through the door, and that's what I want my home to reflect - me."

Would you really want a home built in a week?

Darwin - Get off your butt, and volunteer to build one of these houses! When you have dirt on your hands, you'll better understand how much effort goes into building a house. Otherwise, you're an idiot!
