Tampa mayor wants another Super Bowl
Even before kick-off on Sunday, Mayor Pam Iorio was thinking about the possibility of another Super Bowl in Tampa.
Iorio said she wanted the city to bid on another Super Bowl "before I leave office." Her term ends in 2011. "It's been a fantastic week. Just fantastic," she said as she walked into the stadium with her husband, Mark Woodard.
The next Super Bowl that's available is in 2013. The game will go to Miami in 2010, Dallas in 2011 and Indianapolis in 2012.
"We'd like to do this again," said Paul Catoe, executive director of Tampa Bay and Company, the local convention and visitors bureau. "As soon as the NFL invites us to bid we'll bid if the Bucs and the Glazers want us to."

Wonderful--Iorio-don't you KNOW by now how MUCH money a city must put out to host a superbowl, and the ACTUAL financial rewards are in a heated debate as I write this? Use THAT money to help ACTUAL programs, citizens, schools, and OTHER entities that are FAILING in your city right NOW!

And don't you know how much money the city will get back in return from hosting the event? Nothing but good comes from Tampa hosting the Super Bowl again.

Everything I saw only referred to Tampa. No mention of anything on the St. Pete side of the Bay -- like we didn't exist.

Because even though its Tampa Bay , Tampa will always be the main focal point of this area like it or not.

Ok Tom... Maybe Rick Baker can get a package to host the Superbowl at The Trop lmao. While hes at it , they can have the 'Pre NFL experience', when the players were gangstas. They can have it at Baywalk.

This years Super Bowl in Miami should have a little bit more excitement than last years. But last years game was one of the best that I have seen in years.
