Pumpkins keep Rays spirit alive

No World Series championship to celebrate, but fans are honoring the Tampa Bay Rays with their pumpkin carvings. Here are two shared by tampabay.com readers.

The one above was carved just before Game 5. And the one below is  Joe Maddon, of course.

I don't have a picture to share, but a story ...

Yesterday was "hat day" at my daughter's elementary school here in Kansas City.

She was ADAMANT about wearing my Tampa Bay Rays hat - wouldn't take no for an answer.

I told her, now be prepared for people to give you trouble because they lost, and she said: daddy, I don't care!
