Did you miss Tampa's Top Model tryouts? No catfights here
With dreams of hearing those magic words from Tyra Banks, young
women of all shapes and styles lined an Ybor City sidewalk for a
casting call for the reality show America's Next Top Model.
Some aspiring models camped overnight outside the Ritz theater, and by 9 this morning the crowd had swelled to hundreds.
Here's one St. Petersburg Times staff member who made it past the first found. Victoria Bekiempis, on left, waited six hours in line, told judges about the craziest thing she's ever done (hitched a ride on the Pan-American Highway with some strange men) and walked the catwalk.
Did you miss out due to your day job? Well, we'd like to see your pictures! E-mail your photos to submit@tampabay.com with your name and photo details and we'll feature your photo here as our Top Models on tampabay.com's Facebook page.

I think you are doing great. Keep up the awareness of diversity and the importance of accepting and enjoying it.

Who really cares? There's so much important work to be done - this is simply shallow ...

I say give anyone credit for standing in line for up to 6 hours in this heat, then still feeling good enough to smile and strut down the catwalk.

I drove past the ritz this morning, way too many ugly chicks standing in that line.

Well none of the three in the picture stand a chance. They better head on over to Barbazon
