Kelly DePergola of Largo is $1,000 richer after winning tampabay.com's Big Showoff contest. DePergola submitted a video, above, of her daughter Natalie playing the drums. "She's only 10 years old and plays like nobody's business," Kelly said.
DePergola's video was one of more than 30 submitted for our Showoff contest. After editors selected the top six, readers voted for their favorite.
Natalie attends Bauder Elementary School in Seminole and is the lead drummer in th teen band at St. Jerome's Church, also in Seminole. She also is part of an all-kid band called the Lee Vines.
Kelly joked: "My thought is someday I'll quit my job and just become Natalie's manager."
"The only reason why we do any of it is because Natalie wants to and because she loves it."

At a mock swearing in ceremony for Florida's new U.S. senator, George LeMieux, Vice President Joe Biden was talking to LeMieux's son, Taylor, who was yawning.
It's the sort of photograph that invites witty speculation. So write your own caption. What do you think Joe Biden was doing here: Looking for a lost penny? Counting gumballs?
Leave your captions in the comments below. Have fun!

Barbara Pryor today picked up her $200 IKEA gift card and some goodies from IKEA at the St. Petersburg Times. A photo of Pryor's daughter Devon won tampabay.com's Grads Photo Contest earlier this month.
Pryor said her daughter, who will attend St. Petersburg College in the fall, plans to buy a new computer desk with her gift card. "I don't think she needs one, but it's her money," she remarked.
Enjoy the shopping!

Tampabay.com's Grads Photo Contest received more than 60 creative photos from graduates in the Tampa Bay area. Most of the photos were e-mailed to us or uploaded through our Community Photo Gallery. But several were submitted via tampabay.com's Facebook page, our fist contest that allowed that.
These three were not among the winners who received gifts from Tampa's new Ikea, but we wanted to be sure our readers saw them. If you like the photos, become a Tampabay.com Facebook fan and give the photos a thumbs up.

After vigorous debate and agonizing consideration, 5 editors chose the winner in tampabay.com's Grads Photo Contest. We asked Tampa Bay readers to share their creative graduation photos and we received more than 60 fun, touching, emotional pictures.
Two winners will get $200 gift cards for Tampa's new IKEA store.
On the right is the winner chosen by St. Petersburg Times editors. Stacie Selover submitted her photo with this caption: Daniel Selover is all smiles as he shares a hug with his big sister, Stephanie, after the ceremony at Springstead High School on June 4. For a large format view of the winner, go to our All Eyes photo blog.
In choosing this photo, education editor Marilyn Garateix said:
"They bring you into their world in that moment. And they both have great smiles!"
Our readers' choice winner is Devon Pryor, above, who graduated from Northeast High School. Pryor's picture scored 553 votes on her photo.
Pryor's sister Melissa McMinn submitted Devon's photo for the contest, and both of them spread the word to friends via e-mail and MySpace pages.
Pryor, who plans to start at St. Petersburg College in the fall, said "It's cool just to win. And it will be cool to shop at IKEA."
