-- Tampa music blog NineBullets.net was just ranked Technorati's Top 10 music blogs. That probably helps assuage some of these feelings of bloggerific unease. (So does this.)

-- A rumor started flying around the Interwebz Wednesday that Florida's own DJ Purfiya had died due to complications from the flu. Turns out it was just a hacker-based hoax, and the man is still "alive and kickin." "Biggie Said Your Nobody Til Someone Kills You," he Tweeted (Twote?), "But I Aint Tryin To Find Out If Thats True."

-- John Mayer is not coming here. Boo, John Mayer!

-- The Mojo Gurus are getting good press across the pond for the U.K. release of their album Let's Get Lit With ... The Mojo Gurus.

-- Orlando Magician (and former Duke Blue Devil) J.J. Redick is recording a rap song. We only wish we were making this up.
