It's What's LEGAL That's The Problem
U.S. Rep. Tom Feeney has a column in today's newspaper saying that his trip to Scotland where he played golf with lobbyist Jack Abramoff was legal, that he followed all the ethics rules, and that he didn't do anything as a member of Congress in exchange for any personal gain.
Good for him for speaking, instead of continued to have his spokesman say he would wait until an "appropriate time." I would just continue to point out, politely of course, that a member of Congress jetting off to Scotland where he hangs out and plays golf with a big-shot lobbyist, legal or not, is the problem in the first place.

Welcome to TroxBlog, the web-home of columnist Howard Troxler, where he and readers discuss his column topics and current events. The goal here is to focus on the merits of issues, instead of personal attacks or knee-jerk partisanship.
Howard,
Glad you reported on the Alan Crotzer case.
After reading yesterday's paper regarding the cut back in child services combined with the Crotzer rejection I decided not to base a new creative enterprise in Florida.
I always loved this state and there are still wonderful people here - especially in the Tampa Bay area; however, Florida has been taken over by the most heartless and corrupt political leaders.
We are now America's first third-world state.
