Thursday column: Do you want it fixed, or by Friday?
I went to pick up my car from Charlie's Quickie Fix-It Service.
But when I got there, my car was still up on the lift. Parts were strewn all over.
"I just brought it in for a little budget cut," I protested to Charlie. "What gives?"

Welcome to TroxBlog, the web-home of columnist Howard Troxler, where he and readers discuss his column topics and current events. The goal here is to focus on the merits of issues, instead of personal attacks or knee-jerk partisanship.
Howard, your column this morning was perfectly on the mark. The new tax plan (Charley's) being talked about is nowhere as deep as the original proposal. Since they now only want to double the HE. One cannot help but wonder if the language of the original proposal wasn't purpose left vague knowing the court would toss it out. While I like portions of the new porposal, the overall affect on the taxpayer's wallets is going to be a whole lot less. But, your column was beautiful!!

Howard, you always seem to be right on. They do nothing all through the regular session then have a special session to "fix" it all in no time flat. I read a letter by some poor soul the other day he said everthing they have "fixed" so far has cost him more money. For me I'll see it when I believe it or something like that. Even if my taxes went to zero my homeowners insurance is putting me in the poorhouse.
