Three days off

I'm going to spend the next three days working on some personal stuff, which means no live chat on Tuesday. My apologies --- I should be back here on the blog on Thursday and back in the newspaper next Sunday.

Check out the lead editorial in this morning's newspaper (Council errors plague debate on new stadium), which reflects some of the themes I pointed out in Sunday's column. Exit the theories on "Times conspiracy to ram through stadium" and cue the theories on "Times conspiracy to kill stadium."

Have a good three days...

Howard,

Have a nice three days off. Hope all is well.

Enjoy Howard!

Enjoy your time off, Howard. Take care.

Hopefully its a good time off and everything is okay. I will miss Tuesdays chat. Take care and will look forward to it next week.

Shane comeback ~~~~~ We love you Shane~~~~~~~~~~~~~

How can someone sue to have the courts declare a part of the state constitution unconstitutional, as in Amendment 1?

Howard:

Two things:

1. I note that the shooter at NIU and VA Tech was neither Arab nor Muslim. Our world is not made safe by fighting them over there when we have good American kids killing people and spreading terror right here.

2. Sen. Clinton lent her campaign $5 million. Where did she get that money? The Clintons left the White HOuse $2 million in the hole for legal fees, etc. Bill Clinton has given some speeches. To whom? And for what quid pro quo?

About This Blog

Welcome to TroxBlog, the web-home of columnist Howard Troxler, where he and readers discuss his column topics and current events. The goal here is to focus on the merits of issues, instead of personal attacks or knee-jerk partisanship.

Howard Troxler has been a St. Petersburg Times metro columnist since 1991. His print column normally appears Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays on page 1B.

Born March 19, 1959, in Burlington, N.C., Troxler writes a mix of reporting, analysis, satire and commentary on state and local matters. He considers himself politically unpredictable with libertarian leanings ("I'm for gay marriage WITH gun ownership") but readers routinely conclude he is hopelessly biased against whatever it is they happen to be for. He is married with no children and lives in St. Petersburg.
