Sometimes you make almost perfect sense (hockey blog); sometimes you make little sense (above). That's why I'd like to schedule you sometime.

No way, NO WAY, any 2-loss team will play in the BCS championship game. I'll excuse you a bit for that one because writers as a rule don't understand math and politics.

And as far as the WS, the West was the NL's strongest divison. The Padres are the third best team in the NL. Why is it a stretch for that Division to provide a World Series team?????

Here's a tall flash for you: the Cubs won't win the WS as long as Pinella is manager. I know he's from Tampa but he is the most overrated manager in the history of the game. He had the best team in baseball (Seattle) for three years and couldn't even get them to compete in the WS much less win one. He had four future Hall of Famers in their prime: ARod, The Unit, Pudge, and Griffey. They had a heckuva supporting cast (e.g. Martinez, Olerud). Clearly the 2007 Cubs were the worst of the eight teams in the playoffs but were there because they play in (by far) the worst division in MLB.

My nurse will call to make an appointment.

If by Pudge you mean Ivan Rodriguez, you're wrong - he's never played on a team managed by Lou.
