Comments

One reason coaches and athletes never man up: they are kowtowed to by beat writers. It's almost universally accepted that a beat writer should be benign, if not a lapdog, for the team/organization/institution he/she is covering.

Tom Jones doesn't sing "It's Not Unusual'' or shake his hips (well, unless you're willing to pay cash), but he does have plenty to say about sports.
