you're kidding, right?

tom, this happens all the time and has happened for decades. guess how coach k got his gig at duke? the then-ad at duke called bobby knight for advice and knight recommended coach k.

when steve fisher was hired fulltime by michigan as the wolverines basketball coach it was based largely on advice from knight... a rival conference coach.

and michigan doesn't recruit all the same players. sure, there may be a half-dozen recruits both schools go after, but lsu mainly targets guys from the south. michigan largely targets guys from the midwest.

i have no problem with michigan seeking advice from les miles. in fact, that's pretty smart.
