i'd put jack buck or vin scully on there instead of musberger. otherwise, that's about a perfect list.

anyone remember buck and scully doing cbs football games? or pat summerall doing nba games in the 70s?

Uh hello??? Marv Albert?!?!?!?!?!?!? Wake up Tommy boy

how about mel allen and vin scully? those two are the best ever.

These are all network guys! And that's fine if you read sentence in the opening paragraph which says: "Here is my list of the most notable TV sports broadcasters of all time." There's a much bigger chance that a person will be notable if they are seen by a wide demographic.

However, I don't know if the person who wrote the article did the title or if that was the section editor (which it more often than not is), but the confusion - and contradiction of sorts - is that it says "All-Time Best Sportscasters."

Obviously "notable" isn't always "best."

At that, I still think it's a travesty that someone like Vin Scully isn't "notable" enough to be on this list!!! This tells me that the person who wrote the article doesn't know enough about regional talent to be considered knowledgeable in the field. That being the case, why are they writing about it?
