Joe's the best analyst in all of baseball...good luck with MLB network...makes me want to be a subscriber.

Joe made watching every Rays game on TV more enjoyable. There wasn't a game on TV that didn't go by where I thought how lucky we are as Rays fans to have Dewayne and Joe in the booth.

Seriously, after watching another game on TV I would then watch a Rays game and couldn't believe how much better Joe was than any other commentator on any other station, inlcuding all major networks and ESPN. Throughout the Rays games he had insight without being overbearing, humor that wasn't contrived, and, most importantly, a knowledge of the game based on fact and not solely on reason.

Obviously, other people noticed and Joe is now getting a new, well-deserved opportunity. Thanks for everything Joe!

Thankfully, we still have Dewayne.

having to cover 150+ unwatchable games a year, you really have to hone your craft to keep yourself and the fans into the game...i bought mlb.tv this past season and got to listen to many other crews around the league....rays fans have no idea how good they have it until they listen to some of the mind-numbing stuff other MLB fans have to listen to while watching their teams play

thankfully we've got a couple of good guys standing by to pick up where joe left off - is it todd kalas' time?

staats and magrane were the best duo in baseball. not sure how you can top those guys.

I must say, I am glad he is gone. I liked Staats but never Magrane. All these people on the Magrane bangwagon has always amazed me. That is just my opinion. I think Todd Kalas would be a very very good fit to take Magrane's place and is so much more personable. Him and Staats would be great.

I learned more about pitching from Magrane in his first season than in 20 years of watching Braves and Cubs games on cable. He is really good, funny enouugh to keep it light, and has a great knack for identifying a pitcher in trouble (lots of practice with the D-Rays). Good luck at MLB-TV and the 50 people watching it -- hopefully we'll get him back one day.

I will really miss Joe Magrane. I watched almost every game and I can't say enough good things about his abilities. You not only enjoy the game but you learn a great deal about the game of baseball. I don't think anyone can take his place. Joe and Dwayne made a terrific pair.
