What's this "we" crap, Scrubby?

Ugh! We have to endure another blowhard's opinion in print.
Queen is overrated?
Idol's "Mony Mony" is worse than the scream singing of AC/DC?
"Welcome to the Jungle," Ozzy's "Crazy Train" and Metallica's "Enter Sandman" are listed as things "we" still love?
Why don't we call this list what it really is -- songs we, the fans and readers, are embarrassed to see middle-age white guys dance (more like move oddly) to at public events.
Why is it that sports columnists' opinions, especially their lists, seem to be the worst? They try so hard to be witty, yet every attempt just seems to affirm that they should dwell in the worst of Dante's circles of hell.

Personally I like AC/DC but I'm tired of hearing their stuff at events and don't get me started on Crazy Train. Time for Ozzy to take a nap.

I love the irony of stadiums full of people singing and dancing along to "YMCA". Who knew that so many mainstream folks were such enthusiastic supporters of anonymous, gay sex?

Also "Pump It Up" by Elvis Costello is way underplayed in stadiums.

Yawn. You have lost it big time-finally time to call you our on it. You column needs an overhaul.

From Joe above, "Why is it that sports columnists' opinions, especially their lists, seem to be the worst? They try so hard to be witty, yet every attempt just seems to affirm that they should dwell in the worst of Dante's circles of hell." Not enough real sports news available (witty if needed) out there?

Let me also add, when Springsteen puts out a greatest hits CD (he has several, including one from Walmart that was just released today), Glory Days is a top 10 hit and on the disc. The BITUSA album sold 10,000,000 units +. You are a fan right? At least that's what you wrote...we love, love (2 loves) Bruce Springsteen.

About This Blog

Tom Jones doesn't sing "It's Not Unusual'' or shake his hips (well, unless you're willing to pay cash), but he does have plenty to say about sports. If it's funny, crazy, weird, irreverent or worth arguing, Tom has his opinions. So pull up a chair and get his two cents -- and give him your two cents, as well.
