How are not all of the Lightning and Rays moves the only ones on here. All the bucs moves weren't all that great. Probably subpar at best.

what is sad is that boyle, modin, johnson, and khabbi will all be on the next list "tampa bay's worst sports deals"

Gruden pick is debatable at #2. Yes, I would credit him with getting us over the hump after being stuck under Dungy but I'd also say he was the main reason for us being so bad for the next six years after the SB. Also, who knows what we could have done with those picks we gave up. It says a lot that in 30+ years, the Bucs really haven't pulled of a single fantastic player trade (Keyshawn was never that good), unless you count the perspective of people who got OUT of here and won titles elsewhere - Steve Young, Doug Williams, Trent Dilfer...

Thanks for rubbing in the tennis, Tom.
Last year we Tampa fans "learned" that the way to bypass the telethon was getting a digital converter.

Raffa on digital was going to be the highlight of this year's French Open.

If you read comments to your previous blog entries, you'll see that NBC was the culprit this year - forbidding WFLA from showing sports on WFLA's digital subchannel.

Maybe if media types like you exposed the situation, NBC would have behaved like FOX and allowed digital subchannel broadcast.

This battle between network and affiliate will continue to make us viewers the losers.

Best trade the didn't happen: Paul Gruber to the Raiders in 1993(ish).

no. 2 should be no. 1 (super bowl the result).

no. 3 should be no. 2 (stanley cup the result).

no. 1 should be no. 3 (alcs the result).

Tom Jones doesn't sing "It's Not Unusual'' or shake his hips (well, unless you're willing to pay cash), but he does have plenty to say about sports. If it's funny, crazy, weird, irreverent or worth arguing, Tom has his opinions. So pull up a chair and get his two cents -- and give him your two cents, as well.
