Comments

I watched the Rays lose to the Jays today and have several comments:
1. I am not a doctor but I believe Evan Longoria is not the same player he was before he injured his hamstring. He can't bust it down the first base line running out a ground ball. His RBI production is down significantly. Aybar is contributing more to Rays victories than Evan. Perhaps Evan needs to be placed on the DL once more before the September stretch run. I don't think Longoria should be included in the All Star roster. Replace him with Crawford, a more deserving candidate.
2. Manager Madden has tremendous patience with Burrell. We are all waiting for him to break out of his funk. I can even understand why Madden didn't replace him with Aybar with the bases loaded in the seventh inning today. However, when does it become wise to say that our patience has run out and we recognize Burrell as the liability he is. Why not recall Sonnanstine and place him into the DH role? Get rid of Burrell even though he cost the team $16m.
3. Whatever happened to the color commentator who was replaced by the vastly superior Anderson?
