the long local nightmare is over!!! the fact those has-been chicken wing waitresses FINALLY had the plug pulled on their show should be cause for celebration by all sports fans throughout the tampa bay area.

that was was an absolute insult to any sports fan with an IQ over 70. it wasn't a sports show to begin with. that show shouldn't have lasted 12 minutes much less 12... years?

I didn't mind the Sportschix. It was better with BL on there (not sure what happened to her). What I don't like is Lynne's potty-mouth on twitter. I won't be "following" her anymore.

Also, 1040 should just go to all Espn radio. I thought "the swarm" would be good, but, every other minute Marc B. feels the need to tell you how good he thinks he is. Tell you what Marc, do your show well and the market say how good it is.

Back to 1010, if they stay with Pepper, TKras, and JP, they should be ok. It's certainly a positive alternative to 620 hating on the local teams all the time.

I totally agree with Joe. The Sports Chix were terrible. The only people who thought it was good radio were guys who haven't gotten any. I do agree with Floyd on only one thing. ESPN Radio needs to be full time on 1040 AND both stations 1010 included need to have a stronger signal. I'd like to see Dan Sileo move to 1010, just because I listen to 620 and I think he's a moron.

>>> I thought "the swarm" would be good, but, every other minute Marc B. feels the need to tell you how good he thinks he is. <<<

Who???

How Sileo has a job is beyond me...

"The Killer Bees"....errrrrrrrrr "The Swarm" has to be the most lame radio show in this area. When Marc and Bill (now gone) moved to the 3pm time slot, they spent several days saying they would be the best thing to hit Tampa Bay radio. Well how did that work out? Bill is gone so we are left with Marc. All Marc can do is take every other moment to tell you how great he is, how awesome his show is, how he gets the best guests, and how Steve Duemig got a DUI. Let me tell YOU something Marc, you can't hold a candle to the talent Duemig has for radio. The mere fact you choose to exploit his DUI ought to tell you something about yourself. You act like a middle school punk who got picked last for the team, never played in the game and still got his lunch money taken from him. Your show sucks because it's YOUR show. Put anyone else on there and it may be worth listening to. I check your show out when WDAE hits commercials and believe me, as much as you say it's not, it IS the same crap every day. There is nothing on your show which breaks any ground, makes a difference or breaks any new stories. Duemig, for all of his faults, at least has a ton of sources and breaks news. Some of it has turned out to be wrong, but most of it is right on the money. Do yourself a favor, Marc, take a month off and listen to his show and you may learn a thing or two about how to get better. But I can help you today. Stop telling people how great you are, if you get better, we will notice. But that's so unlikely to happen.

I ABSOLUTELY refuse to listen to the Big Douche. He's TOO negative on all the local sports teams. It also seems that he's been hypocritical when it comes to his DUIs (i.e. goes OFF on players, but, doesn't hold himself to the same standard).

It's JP Petersen on 1010 am at 3 pm or music. JP has sources, is knowledgable, sometimes funny, and very professional.

I look forward to the new schedule at 1010.

Maybe there are just too many sports stations. Only 620 shows up in the ratings, 1010 and 1040 never do.
