Beverley staying at Arkansas

Arkansas freshman phenom Patrick Beverley, who had considered transferring to follow coach Stan Heath to USF, said Monday he's staying a Razorback after his school named John Pelphrey as coach.

"When I signed my letter of intent to play for Arkansas, I didn't sign to play for any particular coach," Beverley told the Associated Press. "I signed to play for the University of Arkansas."

And while the SEC Freshman of the Year isn't coming to USF, another Heath recruit frm Arkansas is still considering such a switch. Check back in a few hours for that and some women's basketball news as well ...

Not surprising, and probably best for Beverley. It's nice that he considered the transfer anyway.

screw him

Where's the women's hoops news?

I can't wait for the update, Greg.

Miles- It's ok... really, it is.

Eh, Beverly wouldn't eligible until the same year as Holmes, when we'll still have Verdejo, Bozeman, Saaka, Curry, and D. Jones. I'm assuming Chris Howard will give someone his car on the way to practice one day, mistaking a carjacker for Dominic James of Marquette. After losing his car, Howard then will tell Coach Heath that he'd give it his best shot to get to practice, at which point Heath learns that Howard's best shot means he'll miss the Corral by about 50 miles, which is closer than any 3-pointer he's ever taken.
