Randolph to Chiefs, Burnett to Vikings

Linebacker Stephen Nicholas, drafted in the fourth round by the Atlanta Falcons, was USF's first draft pick in three years, but he wasn't the only Bulls player matched with an NFL team on Sunday.

Two Bulls seniors from Tampa who were passed over in the draft said they agreed to free-agent deals Sunday, with former Durant star Ean Randolph signing with the Kansas City Chiefs and former Jefferson safety Jeremy Burnett signing with the Minnesota Vikings.

"I talked to a couple of teams, but Kansas City was the best fit for me," said Randolph, a receiver who hopes to make the team as a return specialist.

Also, former Hillsborough and USF safety J.R. Reed, cut by Atlanta last week, has a workout Thursday with the New York Giants, his agent, Jonathan Kline, said.

Is Dante Hall still with the Chiefs? Rawdog is good, but he's not quite Hall. I feel that Ean has great acceleration and agility but is lacking in the overall speed department- he could be a solid PR man in the NFL. Burnett seems like the type of guy who could eventually stick with a team. Hopefully he does.

You have to admire J.R. Reed's perseverance. Most people would've given up after the leg injury, but here he is, still chasing his dream. Unfortunately, I feel that he is going to have to play Arena or Canadian ball. Perhaps the Giants can send him to Europe where he'll remind people of how good he really is. Good luck, J.R.

No, Dante Hall signed with St.Louis last week. Ean will have his shot.

Man, what a break for Ean. Dante Hall just got dropped by the Chiefs so this is Ean's chance to make it big. He can be a bigtime returner for any team! So excited for our former BULLS!!

It's great to see our Bulls getting out there in the NFL and getting their chance. I'm also excited to see if Andre Hall is going to have his chance in Denver now that they are down two running backs.
