Final batch of student tickets go fast
The sandwich-shop sign outside the Sun Dome said it all: "NO W. VA FB TICKETS"
The line outside the Sun Dome got long enough fast enough that USF started distributing its final allotment of 400 student tickets a few hours early on Thursday, with the last ticket handed out just before 3 p.m.
USF had asked for students to start lining up at noon, five hours before the original time designated for ticket distribution. But football-crazed students were lining up at 10 a.m., and rather than subject them to a few more hours of midday sun, the ticket office got things started. Students arriving after 3 p.m. -- that's really not two hours early, but three hours late -- were given the unfortunate news, next to a short line of people buying tickets for USF's remaining home games.
Lots more to come in the next 30 hours -- we'll be blogging live from the game Friday night and should have plenty of updates between now and then. I've heard that about 20 players, in either a show of solidarity or an alarming shoutout to Mr. T, will be boasting Mohawk haircuts for Friday's game.

Times sportswriter Greg Auman, who covers USF, will post news and thoughts on the Bulletin and we invite your participation in the comments area.
I have a pretty good hunch that your live bloging wont be read "live" by many bulls fans in tampa..
I'm about the crack open my first cold one. Game Day is upon us soon.

those are going to be a lot of disappointed fans after friday night. hopefully, the media outlets will fall asleep before the WVU offense slaps us with a late 4th quarter noel devine deathblow. then again, maybe it would be a good thing if WVU's blowout of us made headlines. it would call attention to the problems that our program has. 28-13.. i expect them to put more than 2 TDs on us this time around.

Perhaps it will be you that is disappointed. You've built up your entire perception of the USF program as a failure, and it is FAR from that. Will you be committing hari kari if USF wins?

CEE who? I do have my worries about USF because, we beat auburn BARELY which time goes on and we find out auburn isnt that good. We beat elon (who?) and NC (who?). Now, i hope USF wins dont get me wrong. WVU hasnt beaten anyone either but we know what they can do to you. GO BULLS!!
( I cant wait for 2morrow!)

Cee, if USF wins tomorrow night, I fully accept you on the bulls basketball bashing bandwagon. You can join me in getting rid of Stan Heath and getting someone in here that can actually recruit. Heath was brought in as an EXCELLENT recruiter, and what does he have to show for it so far.......HORRIBLE Prospects.....which will be at the game tomorrow. If you cant sell a Big East school to a kid that is getting offers from low mid majors, then maybe McCollum wasnt so bad.....

Yeah -- Stan Heath can't recruit. That is why he signed Al Jefferson and Ronnie Brewer. That is why he has gone to the NCAA tourny 3 of the 6 years he has coached. That is why he coached and Ark team that won 22 games in 06 and 21 games in 07 -- including a trip to the SEC tournament championship game.
Mac was the biggest joke of a coach our school has ever seen. The guy went 11-61 or something in conference play. He was horrible.
I can't wait for Stan to bring us a winner.
Go Bulls!

How many games did Al play for old Stan?
and how many of those players failed drug tests?
and how many others are academic disasters??
Ask Dana Altman......
So he sort of fits the bill of USF sports in bringing in questionable characters, so I can see why you would be a fan of him.......
Go Bulls!
Mac never would have taken the job if he knew that they were joining the Big East, and so far Heath's recruiting is Patriot League level at best. You are playing in the Big East, this is not Intramurals........

You sound like a retard. Ark's recruiting class was ranked as one of the top in the country this year. He took over an Ark program that was in horrible shape. He took a Kent State team to a Mac title - a Mac Tournament title - and an Elite 8 appearance. Mac couldn't even qualify for his own conference tourny.
I will not argue with a guy who has no clue what he is talking about. USF hasn't made the NCAA tourny in almost 2 decades. I bet we are there within the next 3 years.

Not to mention the absurd recruiting classes whe would bring in for Tom Izzo at Michigan State. I mean they only won a national title when he was recruiting coordinator and the top assistant.
He is five classes above anything USF should have gotten in its coaching search.

3 years it is.......
Well, this is year one.......and he has nothing. Definitely 16th squad in the big east......
2 big east players, maybe 3 if Aaron Holmes shows up. KG graduates after this year, and next year's recruiting class has NOTHING. That means year 2 has no inside game, and no outstanding talent among the guards. I guess year 3 better have alot of JUCO kids, or else your prediction is looking kind of shaky.

Remember in basketball it only takes 2 players to make a difference. Heath KNOWS how to recruit. 3 straight top 15 recruiting classes while at Arkansas.
Heath KNOWS how to coach. Elite Eight with Kent State? That is sick.
He will get the right people in here!
