Bulls edge BC for No. 2 spot
The BCS standings are out and USF is in line to play for the national title. The Bulls are No. 2 behind only Ohio State. USF is narrowly ahead of Boston College, which came in at No. 3. Even if the Bulls win the rest of their games, Boston College or another team could pass them depending on the human polls and computer rankings that make up the BCS formula.

Times sportswriter Greg Auman, who covers USF, will post news and thoughts on the Bulletin and we invite your participation in the comments area.
Look at the computer %. 1.00000...we're #1 in the computer polls (the ones that are unbiased in terms of "tradition"). http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/poll?poll=BCS
OK, enough of that. Let's get focused, go beat Rutgers, and get another quality win! Time to hold another Heisman contender running back under 100 yds. GO BULLS!!!

Greg,
This is the perfect time for you to pimp your boss up for some more money! You're covering the #2 program in the land, so you need a raise!
GO BULLS!

Not only are we #1 in 100% of the computer polls used by the BCS, but Ohio State is only 5th. If we had BC's 2nd in the Coaches and Harris polls (and their numbers), we would be ahead of OSU in the BCS. All we have to do is keep winning, and pass BC in the human polls.

Basketbull is probably right--I'm sure it's more work (it sure is more for us fans to follow)!

The blog says that USF narrowly edged out BC for number 2. If you look at the BCS rankings you will see USF is closer to number 1 (.22 behind OSU) than BC is to number 2 (USF up by.29). BC is overrated. Their biggest win was against a mediocre Georgia Tech. They struggled to beat D-1AA UMass 24-14 and struggled to beat awful 1-6 Notre Dame yesterday. BC's schedule gets very difficult the 2nd half of the year when they are at Virginia Tech, at Clemson and at Maryland. They lose at least one of those and probably two.

The opening line of Greg's blog:
"The BCS standings are out and USF is in line to play for the national title."

I read that and I can't stop laughing. It can't be true. It is just not reality. Ha. Just pure nuts.
I am sure Chris Fowler like this. He has us ranked #5 again in his AP ballot.
I can't wait for Gameday to show up in Tampa -- so I can make a nice sign reminding how much he doubts the bulls.

2 in BCS?
Win out and we're number 1!
(one week at a time...)

Stay the course. Focusing on the upcoming game has been the base of the USF program since day one. The old saying "one day at a time" holds true.

So does this mean maybe they will go to the extra effort to paint the field for USF even if there is a Bucs game the next day? It is a little embarrassing to see that-

WON game at a Time.

USF is an insult to the BCS ranking system. Not only do they not deserve the number 2, they don't even deserved the top 10. Okay, so they can play a little D, that's not going to matter when they hit a real offensive powerhouse. The points in UCF were handed to them. It wasn't anybody's fault but UCF. The week before for USF was pathetic and they almost lost. The way I see it, it's BC no. 2 (Matt Ryan's gonna throw up big numbers in the next few weeks, he plays better against hard teams. Anyone who watched the game wouldn't call BC over ND a "struggle." Scores lie. Look at the stats. Also something I would do for USF v UCF.). Sadly, for lack of a better choice Ohio State at no. 1. Ohio State has a cupcake schedule but they are undefeated and have kicked the crap out of everyone they've played.

more delusional UCF fans posting on our news site. You'd think after being beaten about the head and face so much they'd lay low, but not this buffoon. FAU is just that much better than UCF...deal with it UCF

Enjoy the delusional ride boys. The men of BC will be in your place this weekend without even lifting a football.
BC Class of '79

BC of '79 should remember that BC has never been here either. And that BC hasn't played anyone of consequence. And that Jenkins and Trae are both better than Tribble. And Grothe>Ryan!
Speaking of Boston, it's game time!

This reminds of something else- are our fans going to BC sites and taunting them? I hope not- I just don't understand unprovoked trash talk. Why does he care enough about us to trash us on our site?
If you have nothing better to do than trash other teams, then perhaps you're not putting that BC degree to good work.

Hey BC '79...eat your Flutie Flakes and go back to your "not living up to their potential" ACC message boards. Hail Mary!!!
