Bulls fall to No. 21 in coaches poll
After a second loss in a row, USF dropped nine spots for the second straight week, falling from No. 12 to No. 21 in the new ESPN/USA Today coaches poll released Sunday. Connecticut, which beat the Bulls on Saturday, made its debut in the poll, one spot ahead of USF at No. 20. The Big East has three ranked teams, with West Virginia dropping one spot to No. 7.
The Bulls avoided falling out of the top 25 in part because they were one of 10 teams ranked in last week's AP top 25 to lose this weekend. USF is one of 10 teams now to lose back-to-back games this season after being ranked in the top 10.

Times sportswriter Greg Auman, who covers USF, will post news and thoughts on the Bulletin and we invite your participation in the comments area.
I'm amazed we're still ranked.

We have one more week of being ranked unless we do something about Delbert Alverado and our inside run defense.
Two straight games of allowing a RB to total 180 yards on the ground. That has to be some sort of record.

jesus christ, thanks a lot leavitt. to even allow a playcall like a naked bootleg should have you fired in an instant.. people have been fired for much less. this university deserves better than your 1AA football intellect.

I blame Gregory, not Leavitt.

Wow. Two weeks ago USF fans wanted to build Leavitt a statue, now you want him fired? The nation wouldn't know where USF was if it wasn't for him putting you on the map. You had a nice run to number 2 and now its over. Things happen in 1A football, get used to it.

He deserves a statue, it would be a most fitting gift for his retirement this December.

We were ranked in the top 10 in the nation faster than any school in 100 years or so (just because that's right after it started) because of Leavitt. You guys, including perpetual Leavitt hater cee, are jokes.
Btw, cee, I notice you are only around when the news is negative now. You couldn't handle it when we were ranked #2.

The last time I checked poll rankings aren't what a team's goal should be. Winning the conference is what is important.
Ranked 2nd, 5th, 11th, 21st useless, winning the BE priceless.

Why do we always lose to stupid teams.. ?
Kansas last year. Army the year before. Uconn the year before that.
We always lose to some dumb team.
How do you beat Auburn on the road and handle West Va and then lose to Rutgers and Uconn. Despite what herbie and corso think -- they are not very good teams.
And get rid of Delbert. 11-20. PATHETIC!

Ari, we lose to stupid teams because we have a stupid coach.. it's the coach's job to get the team ready for EVERY game, even the smaller ones.. when your team plays up or down to the competition, its the COACH'S FAULT, because that's their job. fire this fool before it gets any worse.

Thanks so much, ceeyore. We need a little rain today.

We lost to a bad 7-1 team? Man, if I got paid for your stupidity I'd be a millionaire! UCONN is a good football program. Cee, what.. you would be happy if they beat Michigan??? Michigan sucks and the only reaon they were ranked is because of their history, not according to the talent they RECRUITED! Which is the same as the items I flushed down the toilet hours ago. I ndon't care what anybody says, LSU is the #1 team in football, record means nothing. Division means more than any coach or writer gives it. Do you actually thiink a Big 10 coach will judge a SEC coach fairly? Give me a break! LSU would murder Ohio State and so would Kentucky!

Uconn is not a good team. Either is Rutgers. West VA rolled Rutgers. Neither of those teams are very good. A disciplined, solid football team has no trouble with either of those teams.
Give me a break. Uconn isn't that good. The Big East was there for the taking and we can't beat Rutgers and Uconn.
We gave up 150+ yards rushing two consecutive weeks - are defense isn't nearly as good as everyone thinks and I feel bad for the team that drafts Mike Jenkins. The guy might be the biggest chicken I have ever seen on the football field. The guy isn't even that great of a cover corner. He is all specs and no produce.
We looked like a bunch of goon balls yesterday. Our field goal kicker stinks -- we committ penalties left and right -- recievers dropping passes -- false starts - no running game.
We stink.

Ari, you are correct.
Uconn definitely isnt a good football program.. if Uconn is a good football program, then Rebecca Lobo is a good quarterback and Ray Allen is a good punter.
DR, go back to your NCAA video games. this is the real world and we are finally getting exposed.
