Owls strike back, trail 28-23 late

Florida Atlantic isn't going away just yet. Owls quarterback Rusty Smith hit running back Dilvory Edgecomb across the middle for a 47-yard touchdown, and after a missed two-point conversion, the Owls trail USF 28-23 with 6:42 to play.

FAU went for two, trying to get within a field goal, but Mike Jenkins' knocked down Smith's pass at the goal line. Smith has completed 20 of 40 passes for 240 yards and three touchdowns.

Way too close. With a win like this, those hater coaches are going to punish us for that. Hopefully, i'm not speaking too soon.

Come on Bulls! Sending some love from the West to get the win.

Why isn't Mike Ford Playing?

Greg, they didn't want to try a 54 yard FG there? haha, just kidding.

This is sad to say already, but this is the season right here.

Not that its an excuse, but it is hard, maybe impossible, to play inferior teams with the same amount of intensity as playing against an evenly matched or tougher team.

You guys looked good today...... See ya next week.
