USF is within 1,900 tickets of selling out its next home game, Oct. 13 against Central Florida, and student tickets will be distributed for that game at the Sun Dome on Sunday afternoon.
Does this mean another night in Leavitt-Town? Officially, tickets will be distributed from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, with a line starting at 2 p.m. USF is imposing a limit of one companion ticket (at $16) sold per student ticket on Sunday and Monday. After all student tickets are distributed, remaining tickets will be sold by USF on Tuesday, Oct. 9, starting at 6 p.m.
UCF sold out of its allotment of 4,600 tickets (including band and complimentary tickets) about two weeks ago and has been directing its fans to purchase tickets through Ticketmaster.com.

Times sportswriter Greg Auman, who covers USF, will post news and thoughts on the Bulletin and we invite your participation in the comments area.
They have greatly cut down the number of companion tickets alloted. For the WVU game I think they may have had a total of 1250 companion tikets and students could buy 1 lower level companion and 2 upper level companion tickets. Now for UCF you can only buy 1 companion and I am sure that they have set a limit on companion ticket sales as well.

Another sellout is unBULLieveable! Let's pack it with green again.

Thanks for the explanation. I think that practice will stop with more students wanting to go the games and sell outs happening more often.

The companion ticket allows a student to buy another ticket for a non-student for $16. And yes, other people have complained to me that those are tickets that could be keeping students from sitting in the student section. I'd think if USF notices the student section filling to capacity, they'll continue to limit the number of companion tickets or stop the practice entirely.

What is the companion ticket? Students are allowed to get two tickets if one is for someone else?

There will be a lot more fans from the visiting team than the last home game including me. Bull fans don't get too excited. GO KNIGHTS!

We need to put an end to companion tickets already. The student demand is high enough that every companion ticket sold actually prevents another student from getting a ticket.
