Bulls hold on for 77-69 win at FIU
It wasn't easy, but USF won its fourth game in a row Monday night, holding off a pesky Florida International team with a 77-69 win at Pharmed Arena.
The Bulls led the entire second half but never by more than 10 points, getting a game-high 21 points from center Kentrell Gransberry and solid games from Jesus Verdejo (15), Dominique Jones (14) and Chris Howard (10).

Times sportswriter Greg Auman, who covers USF, will post news and thoughts on the Bulletin and we invite your participation in the comments area.
I listened to the game; the FIU offensive rebounding is a major cause for concern; BEAST PFs and Cs will be able to exploit that. Without Mattis to enforce the paint with KG (he was the guy last year, too), the post defensive game could be problematic.
Heath's adjustment late first half to the 3/4 press demonstrates his talent and ability. He tried something new and it worked. It's good to see that he figures out how to gameplan during the game if the initial plan isn't working.

Just impressed with Heath -- I know its tough to evaluate until we get into conference play, but anyone who has been to the Sun Dome can see this guy knows what he is doing.
Looks like we will face a decen Wake Forest team in mid-december on the road.
That should be a half decent measuring stick. I think they have improved a lot since last year.
Im looking forward to conference play.

UCF never really even crosses my mind as a rival.
pretty funny that i see UCF guys on here all the time.
Honestly, I don't really think USF has a rival yet. Maybe WVA in football -- just because we have beaten them the last two years.... but not really.
Basketball? We don't have a rival because we stink.
UCF?? I just don't see it.
