Grothe TD pass pulls Bulls within 38-33

USF, refusing to give up against Cincinnati, has gotten an 8-yard touchdown pass from Matt Grothe to Jessie Hester with 2:03 to play, pulling the Bulls to within 38-33. A two-point conversion that would have brought USF within a field goal was intercepted by Cincinnati.

Grothe converted a fourth-and-11 with a pass to Carlton Mitchell -- this after an interception that would have been USF's ninth turnover was ruled an incomplete pass after official review. It USF two minutes to run six plays to get the last 35 yards though, taking away precious time off the clock.

USF attempted an onsides kick, and Mike Jenkins nearly recovered, but Cincinnati's Earnest Jackson fielded the kick and returned it to the USF 25.
