Tarpon Springs' Engram signs with Bulls
It's getting to that point in the morning where you start wondering about commitments that haven't signed yet, but here's one less to fret about: Tarpon Springs defensive end Donnel Engram signed with the Bulls on Wednesday.
"They're not a powerhouse yet," said Engram, 6-2 and 250 pounds. "They have to work to get there, and I want to be part of that."
USF's official site is also confirming cornerback Jon Lejiste of Delray Beach Atlantic as signing with the Bulls. USF is now up to 20 players that count toward the 2008 class. More to come in the next few minutes ...

Times sportswriter Greg Auman, who covers USF, will post news and thoughts on the Bulletin and we invite your participation in the comments area.
Greg it's been 22 minutes since your last update...my heart can't handle this stress; I am too fat for this.

Engram looked pretty good on those tapes. He was driving the blocker back on every play and then, playing off the block strategically. He also tackles quite well and looks to have a decent motor..based on the location of his tackles made, which were fairly spread out and some of them were deep in the back field too.

I like him. He has decent size and could probably get to 260 and still be quick. I like his optimism, too. Who else recruited him?
ESPN loves Lejiste, the others don't. Just goes to show that most of these recruiting databases don't (more like can't) evaluate everyone in Florida. If Lejiste lived almost anywhere else in the country, he would have a stronger profile on Rivals/Scout.
Also saw that Scout put Quavon Taylor to 3* at S.

I love that quote. It summarizes the attitude we need from our recruits. These guys that we are getting realize that they can be a part of something truly special, not just another footnote at places like Ohio State or UF.

I'm with you, Blake--that's a good attitude.
