Moffitt, other Bulls passed over in draft

Former USF linebacker Ben Moffitt was not among the 252 players selected in this weekend's NFL Draft, though he's in strong position to sign with an NFL team as an undrafted free agent. USF had two draft picks in cornerbacks Mike Jenkins (1st round, Cowboys) and Trae Williams (fifth, Jaguars).

A handful of other Bulls seniors -- notably defensive tackle Richard Clebert, receiver Amarri Jackson and offensive tackle Walt Walker -- could also sign free-agent deals Sunday night, along with Moffitt. Check back for updates and more on USF's draft weekend ...

Basketball update please

I need an update on our basketbulls.

PLEASE!

I think his size and speed hurt him. Its really hard to get drafted.

That last round was disappointing considering the ESPN.com didn't even have a profile of one of the ILBs. Now he has his pick of a team to try out for; hopefully he'll make it. The last guy drafted was pretty similar to him in size and production, so maybe some of us overestimated where he would go.

At least we have a first rounder now; that was the last area that UCF could legitimately brag about to us.

He'll be crawling back to Shauna in no time.

Relax fellas, I'm joking.

Basketball update is Simmons to no one's surpise commits to Ohio St per rivals.com

Belardo is suppose to visit next week so he will feel the spot that should have went to Simmons back in November.

Keep your fingers crossed that Alex Rivas Sanchez is not offered by USF.

I'm not an expert like G.A. so he will have much better info then me.

What I talk about is do to research and keeping my ears and eyes open.

Greg, does Shauna still get any of his signing bonus if he signs as a UFA, or was the language of the divorce settlement explicit about it being draft-related money only?

Just curious...

I meant Due not do

Greg is holding out.

BTW....simple math lesson for Shamu:

$1,000,000 signing bonus x $0.00 = ____

I hope Belardo really feels that spot

that basketball update better be long as h*ll auman!! this is killing me

Amarri signed with the Bucs

I feel confident in saying that Belardo is better then Howard, and all the guards that have left the program since last season.

I personally hope that USF doesnt offer Alex Rivas Sanchez either, nor do I want them to offer Belardo. Both are not Big East starter quality. You shouldnt offer someone you cant envision starting for your team in the future. Stay focused on Ben-Eze and Akol. You signed a shooter for next year in Noriega. If we can find a impact transfer guard/forward then take him. Keep your eye on the prize USF, and that's 2010. If we cant attract BE quality players we are better served holding the scholarships till next season.
