What the helmet: Bulls upsetting USC?
USF knocking off Southern Cal in college football? If it's online balloting for which team has the superior helmet, the Bulls may pull it off. We'd told you last week that ESPN.com had USF in its final 16 for its "Helmet Clash" summer time-killer.
Today's the day to vote on either USF or USC -- with more than 7,000 ballots cast, the Bulls have 54 percent of the vote. Far too early to call it either way, with plenty of precincts still unreported. Here's the link if you're interested in voting one way or the other ...

Greg, You just informed the UCF community. Most of them are unemployeed and have hours to vote USC. Voting against USF is what UCFers do best. GOL is in his office now voting, since he refuses to speak to the media.

I honestly think we have one of the best helmets in college football. I am not being biased because I absolutely hated our old helmets. How in the world did Penn State get in the 16? How more vanilla can you get than Penn State. The only thing they are missing on their uniform is FOOTBALL TEAM is black lettering. (old time generic).

You're not that biased. I love our helmets too and think we have one of the best logos in all of colleges sports. It's simple, iconic, and sells well.
I'd have never sported a ball cap, much less a helmet of our old logo-- the red-eyed "goat" we were led to believe was supposed to be a bull.
Let's hope we can also knock off tOSU or FSU.
