Shameless plugs: Here's Jim for the weather

Woohoo! I'm on TV today. Actually just my voice, but at 3:30 p.m., I'll be on "College Football Live" on ESPN2, talking about ... the weather. Just a quick-hits type deal, but program your DVRs accordingly.

Speaking of weather, sounds like Jim Leavitt spent a lot of time watching The Weather Channel last night. Said he was up until 1 a.m. getting updates, and though he conceded he's not a "weathertorian," he can talk like one.

"It's much-needed rain. The lake needed the rain. It was 8 inches down. Now it can fill up in the middle of the state. Miami has had three inches more than normal, but Fort Lauderdale is less than normal. ... Will it affect the Southeast, where they need it desperately, in Alabama and those areas? Probably not."

Coach is simply prepping for the Miami Hurricane game down the road. It's the small details that can win games. Knowing about hurricanes inside out can't hurt the Bulls against Miami when they play them.

This is when Dave Barry says The Weathertorians would be a great band name.

He can be a really funny guy when he wants to be. "Weathertorian" is a new one.

I was a Weathertorian once, or at least so I was told. I would often wake up in the morning after working the night shift and my butt would be really sore. I was always told by my fellow co-workers "You fell down some stairs last night, remember?"

But, there were no stairs at my workplace. hmmmm.........

My DVR did not record CFL today because it was on ESPN2. This also happens to be the only day it will not reair on ESPN2 or ESPNU. It normally reairs at 6:30 on ESPN2 and all morning on ESPNU. If anyone knows a reair time for this show let me know.

Nice work on CFB live today, Greg.

helluva job Gregory! I'd bet CFB Live will have you on again to talk up the Bulls throughout the season.

Hey, I'll just do Tampa weather updates for 'em.

Tampa weather updates? In August? That's gotta be the easiest job on the planet.

"It's gonna be hot as hell. It's gonna rain sometime in the afternoon. Back to you, Bob"

You've told the truth, Steve.
