I'll get to game stuff shortly from USF's too-close 17-9 win at FIU, but want to get this out there: Linebacker Brouce Mompremier, who was taken off in an ambulance after a collision at midfield, is in stable condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, where he is expected to stay overnight.
Mompremier had movement in his arms and legs before leaving the field and was undergoing standard scans following a neck injury. He was experiencing some tingling in his shoulders, according to a USF statement after the game. Teammates and coaches were relieved upon learning his condition, though it's not immediately known when he'll be able to return to the playing field.

Times sportswriter Greg Auman, who covers USF, will post news and thoughts on the Bulletin and we invite your participation in the comments area.
Sam, it is getting a LITTLE national attention. Saw a mention of it on Rivals.com. Also, I sent a letter to the student newspaper denouncing this and they are running it either Monday or Tuesday.
Guys, this is a prime example of why we must show class. Things like this reflect negatively on the whole program, the entire school, and the community at large. Its hard to criticize a group for being classless when we ourselves show a lack of class at our home games. Fortunately, nothing this bad has ever happened. Let's clean it up in the stands and show the world that we are better than that.

We are praying for Mompremier! That was so scary to see what happened and watching the reply gives me chills. When we saw how long he was down and then the ambulance come, we knew it couldn't be good BUT then we saw the helicopter. We are definately thinking of him and sending well wishes his way!
Go Bulls!

I was at the game. It was scary to see what happened to our guys. FIU was taking cheap shots all night long. I couldn't believe the referees did nothing to stop it. That's what our guys kept getting injured. The most disgusting thing I've ever heard or seen in my life is the way the FIU fans were cheering and chanting when Mompremier went down.
I bet that won't be a national story. A friend who was watching the game told me the commentators even said it was classes on FIU. Seriously, I've never seen a worse group of classless people in my life!

Good to hear it's not as serious as it could have been. Still sucks, and the most important thing is not how soon he can get back on the field, but just that he get healthy period. He's definitely in my prayers
