Bucs release Moffitt

The Bucs released former USF linebacker Ben Moffitt, the team announced in a news release.

In other moves, the Bucs signed fullback Jameel Cook, placed fullback Byron Storer on injured reserve and signed Ryan Powdrell to the practice squad.

Moffitt, released by the Houston Texans earlier this season, was signed to the Bucs' practice squad last week.

If history serves as a measuring stick... Next stop: Chicago followed by...
Denver.

Bet he wished that he would have actually studied in College.

Well that didn't take long. Hidden injury or something? Good luck Ben.

dang

Word on the street is that the Bucs are trying to sign Shauna Moffitt to a practice squad contract.

The Bucs suck!!

Ha, they were jus talkin bout CJL's recent comments on Rich Rod on college football live, pretty nice

Those comments have been everywhere -- ESPN.com picked them up, the Detroit Free Press had them ...

It is a numbers game and the Bucs needed help at fullback due to injuries. Ben is not NFL ready physically at this point. He needs to hit the weights hard like Ernie Graham did when he got cut. Ben has some ability he just needs to show a team how bad he wants it.

I'm really surprised he's not sticking somewhere. He must be a lot slower and smaller than I thought, because he had some good combine numbers and obviously was productive and instinctive.

Moffitt is just to small and slow for the NFL, but I did think he would at least be a good special teams player, guess not!

Too slow, too small and too dumb, not a way to start an NFL career. Might want to study more Ben, hit the weights, and figure a way to stretch your bones, good luck though.

He is too small for an NFL LB, I see him more suited for special teams/suicide squad. Like posted above, hit the weightroom hard, work on your lateral agility cause that is your weakest link and hopefully you get a look in the Spring for next year.

Apparently he was running circles on the practice field because he couldn't read the playbook. What an idiot!

The only "IDIOT" is you chalko. You can't even see how comical your comments are. Are you so jealous that the Bulls are a better program than your clueless ucf knats. I guess if you don't have anything good to talk about with your crappy ucf team, you're left with trying to harrass us. What a joke.

That is actually hilarious. Running in circles because he can't read! LOL

Chalko,

Just not happy unless you are putting people down are you...

You obviously need more therapy than I thought...

I'm pretty sure that Moffitt graduated last summer.

Hey don't be so hard on Chalko....he's working double shifts at DQ to help pay for O'Weary's retirement fund.
