Some quick links about Thursday night's game, starting with Greg's follow story slated for Saturday's paper. And here are a few game stories from the Orlando Sentinel, Lakeland Ledger, Sarasota Herald-Tribune, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

Times sportswriter Greg Auman, who covers USF, will post news and thoughts on the Bulletin and we invite your participation in the comments area.
Yea, give Delbert some credit. That last kick off was awful, but he had some GREAT punts all night long. A believe he had two downed inside the 10 yard line.

I thought Alvardo's punting was very good--maybe his best ever. the kickoffs were okay, not great, except that awful low duck hook out of bounds at the end. Hopefully, Teachey will be back in two weeks, so JA will be able to stick with punting.

The Sarasota link has a telling quote from Coach Leavitt which points out our defense's inability to stop screens and draws. I remember Pitt completing a nice shovel pass to McCoy that allowed him to follow blockers up the middle for a well earned first down. Our opponents will definitely keep that in mind until it is effectively defended.
I wish our corners would turn around and look at the ball to help avoid the pass interference penalties.
Alvarado has to have low confidence at this point. He did a good job punting against NC State when those snaps were high, but why can't he just aim those kickoffs for the endzone?
Hopefully, the Bulls will wisely use the next two weeks to rest, study and then focus on Syracuse. Eventhough we have tough roadtrips to Cincy and Louisville ahead, there are two more bye weeks on schedule to help them afterwards.
GO BULLS!

They're just going to be too depressing--I'm going to leave the links alone.

Leave it to the Sentinel to kick a team when they are down.
Speaking of kicking, anybody else notice that they are blaming Bonani for the bad kickoff and not Delbert?
I guess the facts don't matter much to them when it's a chance to slam USF, but here's a fact for them. No matter what we do for the rest of the season, we SWEPT them 4-0 in the "rivalry"
