Just as USF had regained the lead with a big touchdown drive, the Bulls defense dropped the ball, allowing Pittsburgh to drive 60 yards in three plays and take a 26-21 lead with 4:43 to play.
After a kickoff out of bounds, Pitt quarterback Bill Stull found a wide-open Oderick Turner for a 38-yard gain, then LeSean McCoy rushed 19 yards to the 3-yard line. McCoy, over 100 yards for the game, punched in for the touchdown, silencing a Raymond James Stadium crowd.
Pitt went for two after the touchdown but failed when Stull fumbled the snap.

Times sportswriter Greg Auman, who covers USF, will post news and thoughts on the Bulletin and we invite your participation in the comments area.
