USF's defense is establishing all kinds of records in Saturday's loss to Rutgers -- the Bulls are down 49-16 with 3:32 to play, and already the Scarlet Knights have the most points any opponent as scored on USF at home, and the current margin of defeat is USF's largest ever at home -- both marks were previously held in a 43-14 loss to Pittsburgh to end the 2004 season.
USF will drop to 6-4 and is assured of a losing conference record for the first time since that 2004 season. The Bulls have dropped four of five games, the first time that's happened since -- you guessed it -- the 2004 season.

Times sportswriter Greg Auman, who covers USF, will post news and thoughts on the Bulletin and we invite your participation in the comments area.
I was there and it looked more like 28,000 to me.

The wheels have OFFICIALLY come off.
What was today's attendance. And not tickets sold, actual TURNSTYLE count. Looked to be about 35k on TV.
People everywhere (except for the kool aid drinking homers) are waking up to the reality that this team SUCKS.
That 35k sounded like 500 at a high school game.

Middle Tennessee put a bigger hurt on the Bulls (45-9) back in 2000, but that was a road game.
Time for Jim to retire from USF he's peaked out. Thanks Jim for all the hard work, but please step aside and let someone more capable lead the Bulls to the promised land.
I'm thankful that I won't be attending anymore Bulls games this year.

Well...I've thought it for weeks and this game finally proves it. Leavitt has reached his ceiling. He has been a great local story, an excellent talent evaluator and his passion is contagious. But in all honesty...he is not an innovative or even exceptional ball coach. The other Big East coaches know everything that he is going to do, and plan accordingly. When he does something a bit different, they are able to adjust. The same can't be said for this coaching staff. How can a team with the most talent in the conference be 1 -4 in conference play? I hate thinking this way because I think coach Leavitt has done an amazing thing for USF and the Bay area...but I think he has reached his limit. Once his teams becomes bowl eligible, they're done. They won't be conference champs, or BCS bound. I'm no longer gonna fall for the hype...I now understand what we will have. A good team, filled with good local talent...but not a real powerhouse or game changer. I can be cool with that...just won't get my hopes up beyind that. I've been to every bowl game so far...travelled to Charlotte for a tough blanking...then to Birmingham for a nice blow out in the world's worst sporting venue...and to El Paso for last year's pasting by the Ducks. I won't be going this year..unless they are in the St. Pete Bowl.

Theres gonna be alot of haters of CJL today, but he really needs to remove Gregory from OC. Everyone has figured it out. And for the third year in a row, he has made MG the leading passer and leading rusher. MG is a leader, but its obvious that the weight of carrying the offense is beginning to take a toll.
Bulls fan forever, go Bulls!

Glad he's dead then... People like John Allen ruin dreams for kids wanting to grow up and play football in college at a big university. It wasn't like USF had ridiculous academic standards before football got there. The standards have actually gotten harder since football has come into play. Shows how much he knew as a president.

When I was a USF student, John Allen was university president, and he vowed that USF would have a football team over his dead body.
John Allen is dead, but apparently the curse still lives.

CJL's Recruits
CJL's Coaches
CJL's Team...
No excuses -
You can blame the players for execution but CJL was the one who brought them on.
Greg...cut to the chase and write the facts...CJL can only outcoach Rich Rod. Edsall, Kelly, Schiano all own CJL.
