It's a day late, but the kind folks at Detroit Country Day School were kind enough to send a picture of guard Jordan Dumars, who signed a national letter of intent on Wednesday to play basketball for Stan Heath at USF.
Dumars, 6-foot-6, is the son of Pistons standout Joe Dumars, and should bring another 3-point shooting threat to Heath's lineup next season, along with fellow guard Shaun Noriega of North Port. Lots more notes to come in the next two days ...

Times sportswriter Greg Auman, who covers USF, will post news and thoughts on the Bulletin and we invite your participation in the comments area.

Stan Heath said Dumars will be a shooting guard. I've consistently seem him listed at 6-6, so obviously he could be an inch shorter. Heath said he wants Dumars to get into the weight room and ideally drop 10-15 pounds before he gets to campus. He's about 225-230, and they want him light and quick to be able to keep up with Big East guards. He's a great shooter, so the priority is improving his defense and get him stronger physically.

I've seen that he's either a 6'4" SG or a 6'6" SF. Is the latter the official word? And can he jump?
