Bulls up 38-30 at halftime at UAB

I'm still here in Tampa, but want to get in an update on USF's men's basketball team, which is playing well on the road at UAB. The Bulls have a 38-30 halftime lead on the Blazers, thanks to everybody chipping in beyond the arc.

USF is 6-for-13 on 3-pointers in the first half -- freshman Justin Leemow is 2-for-2 off the bench, senior Jesus Verdejo has two, and Dominique Jones and Chris Howard have one each. The crazy-tough defense from the Northeastern game isn't there -- UAB is shooting 50 percent from the field at the half -- and the starting frontcourt of Alex Rivas Sanchez and Aris Williams has a combined two points, but the Bulls have a solid lead going into the second half.

Once again DJ CHOKES!!

How on earth did they blow that lead? What the heck was Jones doing fouling there?

Completely unacceptable. Big East teams can't blow 10 point leads in 5 minutes.

I can't imagine they have a chance in overtime without Jones.

Squandered a 13 point lead making stupid mistakes.. Game now in OT...

Once again DJ CHOKES!!

Unbelievable. I can't believe they blew that one.

Has USF ever toughed out a win? My entire USF basketball experience has been blowing leads because of sheer stupidity (the Jones foul is the big example here).

Just like the Virginia game, USF wins this game easily with Mercer and Gilchrist.

Jones blew another game. I'm sick of seeing Coach giving him the green light when right now it should be Verdejo. Not only does he foul out, he gives up a three point play and we lose by one! This sh.. sucks. Jones is just a regular guy. Will someone please tell him that!!
