No real news here, but UConn's Maya Moore can play some basketball. She already has 13 points in the first eight-plus minutes, and the No. 1 Huskies have a 21-12 lead on USF with 11:25 left in the half at the Sun Dome.
Moore has three 3-pointers, and UConn has done a solid job of denying open shots to USF's guards -- Shantia Grace, Jazmine Sepulveda and Janae Stokes, who combine to average more than 40 points per game, have yet to score. The Bulls are getting their post players to hit open shots inside -- Porche Grant has six points, Brittany Denson has four -- but that's not going to let them keep up with UConn tonight.

Times sportswriter Greg Auman, who covers USF, will post news and thoughts on the Bulletin and we invite your participation in the comments area.
