Spent most of the day at Disney, but still got to make some phone calls -- this one could have a MICKEY"S TOONTOWN dateline and I wouldn't be lying. Anyway, two more solid names to add to USF's recruiting class:
A key weekend for official campus visits has netted USF two more oral commitments, as Fort Pierce Westwood QB Isaac Virgin and South Broward OG Steven Jacques have pledged to sign with the Bulls next month.
Jacques, a 6-foot-4, 290-pound lineman who had committed to Auburn before its coaching change, is rated as a three-star recruit by both major recruiting sites. With four senior starters graduating, offensive line has been a priority for the Bulls in recruiting.
Virgin is a 6-foot-4, 230-pound recruit, is rated as a two-star prospect by both major recruiting sites. Other schools have projected him as a tight end or defensive end, but he'll come to USF as a quarterback.
Those two join Armwood defensive end Ryne Giddins, who committed Saturday, as the most recent additions to USF's incoming class.

Times sportswriter Greg Auman, who covers USF, will post news and thoughts on the Bulletin and we invite your participation in the comments area.
If you think that the Bulls have been bad, Ari, where do you think they would be WITHOUT Grothe?

I don't see how Marve can be coming to USF this semester if he isn't already enrolled. We're in the 2nd week of the semester now, and tomorrow is the 2nd day of the 2nd week. There are schools with later starting dates.

Is Virgin really going to play QB? That weight doesn't seem to interpret a spread option QB.

Bring on the Marve v BJ Daniels Contest!!
I say "LET THEM COMPETE!"
Another year of the porn stach qb and then we turn our attention to the future.

Glad you had fun in mousetown, Greg.
I heard that there might be other announcements....

I think Grothe is still the man. Marve is another question. No matter what, if he gets to USF it will be intesting to watch the level of competition for QB. That aside, these new commits are awesome. Hope they sign!

Greg, Any word on Marve and USF, as I doubt this guys stays at qb after his redshirt. Why is USF not recruiting a quarterback in the preps, are they holding out for eugene smith to switch his commitment?

Gregory should take Grothe with him. That would be great news for Bull nation.

Is coach Gregory gone yet? that is the breaking news I want to see!

Okay! Now I'm stoked. Can anybody post an update on some of the other pending recruits???
This is my inaugural post so I'm hopeful for a response. Thanks.

Is ESPN not yet considered a "major" recruiting site?
