Who originated the story...you or Maile? If Maile, then it only seems reasonable that some type of props to her should have appeared in the Times.
Just sayin'

G.A.

The photos in the Times were correctly credited to J Meric, who took the action shot of Caitlyn, and to Lisa Breen, who supplied the family photo of Caitlyn and her Dad. The only quotes that were in both stories were excerpts taken directly from the chat.

Maile was a huge help in the story and did a great job with the feature in the football game program, but it's not really a standard convention to pass along thanks in a newspaper story. I'm glad the blog allows me to do that.

Why no credit to Keeney/USF SID in the article that appeared in the Times?
Same pix as program, some of the same quotes, I'd say the end of article should have given same credit to the Keeney/USF as you did here....but then, I'm not a trained journalist.

+1 for GA!

Yeah, only 15 football posts since USF's last game. Such a drought ...

Pretty obvious USF football is in a bye week this week...

Woo Hoo for Maile!!

GA, Great article. As a Dad who just had his daughter head off to college seven hours away, on an athletic scholarship as well, that article hit home. SKYPE is a wonderful thing!

On a side note, prayers go out to all the Ft. Hood famalies, just tragic.
