Local business leaders, including Tech Data Corp. chairman Steve Raymund and USF president Judy Genshaft, officially unveiled the Innisbrook Leadership Institute, a management training institute to help organizations improve performance and better meet the demands of the challenging economic environment. The institute is a collaboration of the Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club (where the institute will operate) in Palm Harbor, USF’s Center for Transformation and Innovation (which will supply teaching professors) and a business performance consulting firm called ActionCOACH. The institute’s new CEO is John Lankford. Area executives were briefed last week on the institute and asked to provide input on the types of programs they would find most useful to help their businesses in tougher times.
